I am a graduate of the University of Nairobi, Kenya with a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering. Throughout my career from internship up to now which has been a journey of 20 years, I have been in a technology voyage where I have witnessed technology progress from analog to the present day digital era. I have seen equipment and systems grow from an assembly of analog electronic
components to advance to microchips and software driven. I have been fortunate to undertake practical electronic repairs, installation and maintenance of simple electronic and telecommunications equipment to handling complex systems as an engineer.
From the onset of my engineering profession it does appear that my destiny was to be a broadcast engineer and to contribute in that space. My first formal engagement away from the academic corridors was being exposed to broadcast equipment for marine and global navigational systems at an internship level at African Marine and General engineering company at the coastal side of Kenya. That set the pace for hands on work in the engineering filed. Thereafter, I have never left the broadcast space. I have moved from one broadcast or media company to the other up to present one, Cape Media Ltd in Kenya.
My first encounter with digital transmission technologies started with ISDN technology in the year 2004. As the technology has grown exponentially, I have grown to offer solutions in the broadcast media
space taking in to account what transmission media and technology is suitable for any solution required. Up now, I have acquired extensive experience in RF broadcast for TV and FM radio; and in satellite and IP
communications.
In all my formal engagements, I have held leadership roles in addition to dispensing my technical responsibilities. I am always motivated to work in a dynamic and challenging environment that allows me to fully utilize my skills and experience to make a significant contribution to any organization.
